Airmeet is a fantastic platform for hosting virtual events.
You can connect Airmeet to your Switchboard account as an encoder or as a destination.
Follow the steps below to learn how to do both.
Open two tabs in your web browser and log into both Airmeet and Switchboard.
Airmeet as an Encoder
Prep your Switchboard Account
Note: Airmeet isn't listed as an encoder in the Switchboard Application.
You can select "other" as the encoder option and then rename it by following the steps in this support article: Rename the Encoder Workflow
Configure Airmeet and with Switchboard
Step 1
Log into your Airmeet account.
On the Airmeet dashboard click on the "Live stream" option located on the left.
Step 2
In the center of the window, you’ll see three options for live streaming destinations: YouTube, Facebook, and Custom RTMP.
Choose the Custom RTMP option.
The Custom RTMP configuration window will open.
There are 4 fields for you to insert information.
Step 3
Fields 1 and 2 should be populated with info found from your Switchboard Account.
Navigate to the appropriate Switchboard workflow.
Grab the Server URL and Stream Key located below the confidence monitor in your Switchboard Account.
Field 3 - Enter the URL of your website.
Field 4 - Rename the Custom RTMP destination to easily identify for later use.
Test the Connection between Airmeet and Switchboard.
Inside of Airmeet, choose the session that you want to stream.
Send the live video to your Switchboard account.
The video should start to appear on the Switchboard Confidence Monitor.
After the successful test, you'll be ready to go live.
Airmeet as a Destination
Follow the steps below to start streaming from Switchboard to Airmeet as a destination. You'll need to have the appropriate Airmeet subscription level in order to stream into Airmeet.
- You will need to be logged into Airmeet and Switchboard.
- You will add Airmeet as a custom RTMP into your Switchboard Account
Create a Custom RTMP destination in your Switchboard Account.
Step 1
Press the Add destination button.
Step 2
Choose RTMP from the list.
Step 3
Rename the Custom RTMP destination to easily identify for later, such as "Airmeet"
Next, you'll go back and forth between Airmeet and Switchboard.
Inside of Airmeet
You'll need to create a new RTMP session in Airmeet, and fill out the details.

How to "stream in" your Events into Airmeet via RTMP input?
Once you have created the session inside of Airmeet, it will be labeled "RTMP stream"
Press the "View Stream-in Keys"
Copy the Server URL and Stream Key.
Paste this information into the appropriate RTMP fields inside of Switchboard.
Ready to Go Live!
Start sending video from the encoder into the Switchboard account.
Once you have the video showing in your Switchboard Confidence monitor, hit GO LIVE next to your Airmeet destination.
Pro Tip: You can save time and eliminate the need to press Go Live in Switchboard by enabling the autostart feature, explained here: Enable the autostart feature.
