In order for Switchboard Cloud to successfully broadcast your stream from an encoder to your chosen social destinations, a Stream Server URL is generated to specify your location within our servers.
Using Your Stream Server/URL
Based on your Encoder Region, Switchboard Cloud will generate a URL for you to provide your encoder.
- Under Source Type view the Stream Server URL Section; this is where you can obtain the information to enter into your encoder.
- Region Select (click the arrow in the right corner)
- Choose the region closest to your encoder
- Choose the region closest to your encoder
- Stream Server URL
- Copy the URL to enter into your Encoder based on the above selection
- Copy the URL to enter into your Encoder based on the above selection
- Stream Key / Name
- Copy the Key to enter into your Encoder
- Switchboard Cloud will generate a unique key
- Region Select (click the arrow in the right corner)
NOTE: Some encoders only provide one line for both your URL and Stream Key. In this case, provide your URL and Stream Key in one strand, i.e. URL /stream key; see below.
