Switchboard is unique, and we have terminology that you may not have heard of before. Check out the glossary terms below to familiarize yourself.
RTMP(STREAM) URL – (RTMP)
The Address to the Switchboard Live Server.
Stream Key – (RTMP) A unique code used to identify the user’s stream.
Confidence Monitor – The purpose of this feature is to display incoming video being pushed by an encoder to the Switchboard Workflow. What you see in this monitor is what your audience sees.
Destination – the site or platform where Switchboard streams live video on.
For example, YouTube, Facebook, X(Twitter), Twitch, LinkedIn, Dlive, RTMP, etc.
Source Name – The internal name for your Live Streaming Software
Stream title – This feature acts as the metadata for a user’s live stream. They can be pre-set or changed in real-time.
Workflow – The control center for live streaming. This includes the confidence monitor, video encoder details, real-time stream information, destinations, and metadata.
