Managing the destinations in your Switchboard Cloud Account is very important. Our seasoned users know to give their account a little TLC now and then.
Before you Go Live, periodically verifying your destinations are connected to your Switchboard Cloud account is essential. Verifying is a simple check that will help prevent any delays in your broadcast.
What causes destinations to lose their authorization to the Switchboard Cloud account?
- Sometimes changing the social channel's password can cause it to no longer be configured to a Switchboard Cloud account.
How to Check the Authorization
Group Authorization Check
This method allows you to check all social channels in a specific destination group.
Click on the circular double arrow (the check authorization button) at the top of the destination group.
Switchboard will go through the process of checking and verifying that the social channels are properly configured to the Switchboard Cloud account.
- Only natively added social channels will be checked, including Twitch, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Destinations connected via custom RTMP are not checked.
A pop-up will display at the bottom of the workflow page, indicating that a check is complete for the specific destination group.
After the check, any destinations no longer connected to the Switchboard Cloud account will display the label "click to configure" written next to the destination and an orange configure button.
- Our example shows that the Twitch channel is no longer authorized with this Switchboard Cloud account.
Reauthorize the destination.
Click the orange button to reauthorize destinations no longer configured with the Switchboard Cloud account.
Click Authorize and follow the prompts.
Success! Your destinations have been authorized for live streaming, and you are prepared to GO LIVE to the destinations in the destination group.
