So how does Viral StreamShare™ work?
You send a link to a friend or colleague, they open the link, and with a few simple clicks, they can introduce their social audience to your excellent content. Viral StreamShare™ lets you multistream to your social channels and theirs.
Let's Get Started!
Part 1 | Create the Viral StreamShare™ group.
STEP 1
Press the button "Add VSS Group" at the top of the workflow page.
STEP 2
Click the Viral StreamShare™ button to open the Viral StreamShare™ Page Editor.
Part 2 | Edit the Viral StreamShare™ Page
Parts of the Viral StreamShare™ Page Editor
1. StreamShare™ Link
The link is unique to the workflow; each has its own Viral StreamShare™ link. Click on the link to view the Viral Streamshare™ Page, allowing you to see how it displays to for sharers.
2. Copy to the Clipboard button
This button is a quick way to copy and share the URL with your network; friends, colleagues, or special guests for your live-stream videos. You can use it in an email campaign, add it to a website, or send it out in an SMS campaign.
- Copy, paste, and share.
⭐️ Pro tip: Brand the Viral StreamShare™ link using shorteners like Bitly or Tiny URLs.
3. Activate/Deactivate StreamShare™
Allows you to turn off/ on the page to stop receiving shared social channels.
- When the toggle is green it means that page is Active and is able to receive additonal shared social channels.
- When the toggle is gray - It means that the StreamShare page is Deactivated and will not be able to receive shared destinations.
4. Viral StreamShare™ Page Title.
Give the StreamShare™ Page a custom name depending on your needs.
Create a generic title for the page, like your organization's name, or use the title of a significant upcoming live stream event.
5. Description
Provide more details here; you can be as generic or specific about your goals and purpose.
6. Active Template
Apply a Switchboard template for stream titles and descriptions ( the metadata) for the live stream. When you Go Live to shared destinations in the Viral StreamShare™ Group, the stream title, description, and hashtags from the active template will publish to the streaming destinations.
- Next to Active Template, press the down arrow.
- Select the desired template or create a new one from the drop-down menu.
- Please note that you have the option to save this step for a later time, closer to the live stream event.
After setting up the Viral StreamShare™ page, click the stream share link to preview the page before sending it out to your network.

The Viral StreamShare™ page is what your friends will see when they open the link.

2. Share to Social Channels
Sharers can click on the share to social button to post the viral streamshare link on their socials so tht more people can opt in and make your live stream gain more views.
3. Save and Retrieve Session
Sharers can click this button to save their session so that they'll be able to add more social channels, or remove social channels that they've shared with you.
4. & 5. Page Title and Description
👉🏽 Note: The page is filled with the title and description you provided in the page editor.
If you need to make changes after reviewing, return to the StreamShare™ Page Editor in the first tab, make the changes, and press SAVE.
6. Shared Social Channels
Opted in Social channels will display here.
7. Add Social Channels
Sharers will need to click on the social media icons to share channels.
Part 3 | Invite People to Carry and Share your Live Stream.
Use the click to copy link to share and distribute the Viral StreamShare™ link out to your network. Opting in destinations is easy, but you can include a link to this reference for step-by-step instructions.
👀 Okay, so what happens next? Watch your Viral StreamShare™ destination group GROW!
When a friend or colleague clicks on the link and authorizes their social channels, their opted-in social channels will "automagically" show up in the Viral StreamShare™ destination group.
Part 4 | Now You're Ready to #MULTISTREAM!
Set up your incredible broadcast and multistream to all destinations on your workflow. Yes, all of them.
1. Send content from your encoder to your Switchboard Cloud account.
2. Verify that you are receiving the stream from the encoder.
3. Select all the destinations on your workflow.
4. Press Go Live.
When you Go Live, they Go Live!

Don't worry; we won't go live on any social channels you opt-in.
Switchboard Pro Tip: Save time, turn on autostart beforehand, and the destinations will automatically start live streaming as soon as you start streaming from the encoder.
How to delete the Viral StreamShare™ group.
STEP 1
Press the Viral StreamShare™ button Editor Page.
STEP 2
Press the Delete Group button.
The viral stream share group will be deleted from the workflow page.
How to remove destinations from a Viral StreamShare™ group.
To remove a destination from the Viral StreamShare™ group, press the white x next to the appropriate destination you want to remove.
👉🏽 Note: Once a destination has been removed from the Viral StreamShare™ Group they cannot be re-added to the Viral StreamShare Group.
- You will need to have the Sharer re-add the destination via the Viral StreamShare™ Page.
